Corporate Social Responsibility
Sustainable business is a hot topic. We are becoming increasingly aware of our natural and social environment and want to deal with it responsibly. BKC BV is aware of its responsibility within society and consciously focuses its activities on adding values to both people, planet and profit.
CSR is anchored in all company processes and in every decision a balance is made between various stakeholder interests: those of the employees involved, the companies involved and also the organizations involved.
CSR is a process
What CSR exactly means cannot be explained in a short text. There are many opinions about it and many definitions devised for it. CSR is not a final destination, but a process. The goals BKC BV pursues change over time and with each decision. We use our unique position to improve the world, but also to distinguish ourselves from other companies within the industry.
This involves applying the guideline for social responsibility of organizations (ISO 26000). This is an international ISO standard that focuses on corporate social responsibility and is intended to help organizations and companies worldwide by providing guidance on how to implement it. CSR forms part of our choices for investments in new machines, new employees, projects, fair business practices and involvement in community development. This has been worked out in a self-declaration and supporting reports containing the necessary principles BKC BV must (want to) comply with.
These principles include:
- Accountability,
- Transparency,
- Ethical behavior,
- Respect for the interests of stakeholders,
- Respect for the rule of law,
- Respect for international standards of conduct,
- Respect for human rights.
