Since March 2014 BKC has started a 5 year long project to remove all the greenery on the Montferland Motte. The client is Huis Bergh under supervision of Erfgoedbeheer (Cultural Heritage Management).
During the 5 years of extensive work, the motte and its two moats will be completely cleaned and cleared of any greenery. Moreover, an erosion preventing technique will be used to ensure longevity of The Netherlands’ largest motte.
We are honoured with the decision of Huis Bergh to entrust us with this unique and prestigious project and we will see to its successful completion.
